BORLEY BACK IN TRAINING FOR BURY

Talented young Bury midfielder David Borley's injury nightmare could soon be over.

The skilful youngster - who has been described as a `young Paul Gascoigne' - underwent a hernia operation during the summer and while recuperating picked up a severe chest infection which delayed his comeback.

Now he is back in training, although Bury manager Andy Preece will have to wait another three or four weeks before he can call on Borley.

He has no real injury worries for the club's first-ever game against Rushden & Diamonds on Saturday and even long-term casualty George Clegg could be available in a couple of weeks.

Clegg damaged medial ligaments in his knee a fortnight ago and was expected to be out at least six weeks.

But he is back in training this week and could be available in a fortnight. He has been swimming to strengthen the ligaments.
